Farm to Table Wine Dinner

Mark you calendar!  Milk Lady Events is readying for a Farm to Table Wine Dinner on Saturday September 26, 2015, 6:00 pm until 9:30 pm.  At The Historic Button Farm and Living History Center, 16820 Black Rock Rd, Germantown, MD 20874.  Live entertainment and bon fire.

Belgian trained Chef Pascal Couvreur of Fleur de Sel DC, private chef to foreign embassies in Washington and Gourmet Chef Walter Rhee of Adega Wine Cellars of Silver Spring.

All wines will be available for sale by bottle or case to take home or for delivery.

Santa’s Holiday Village

Back in January, we projected several dates, every 3rd Saturday, for our wine events.   This was our first year holding events off site from our regular market locations and in the process, learned the true time it takes to properly fulfill.  So we needed to change the dates.

We recently updated our website and email lists with dates for the fall.  We have moved the Apple Harvest & Wine Fest to October 4th.  This will be our only October event.

We’ve hired an event planner with staff to support our guest services and Will-call Booth, to cut down on crowd lines.  We heard feedback from guests who want a food component and to accommodate that, we moved our dates so our Apple Harvest & Wine Fest will be on October 4th.  We also staggered the entry times for those wanting the food pairings so our chefs aren’t overwhelmed to serve everyone.

Our next event, Santa’s Holiday Village will be on December 13th.  Santa’s Holiday Village is a fundraiser for the Milk Lady Farmers Markets WIC & Seniors Nutrition Program to help ensure sound nutrition to the neediest in our communities, women with infants and small children, and seniors.  10% of event proceeds go the program.We will send an update about time and location in mid October.  Santa’s Holiday Village features include:

  • Kids Party and Sing-along with Santa
  • Tree Lighting 
  • Holiday Gift Marketplace

Bring your chairs and blankets, browse, mingle, mix, sample and buy local wines by the glass or bottle, fruits, yummy apple inspired foods; fresh local apple varieties from Chesapeake region farmers, meet local artists, caterers and food trucks.

Walkable Parking includes Fenton Street Village Garage and Bonifant-Dixon Garage. 

Must be over 21 by October 3rd 2014 to consume alcohol.  Drink responsibly!
